Brad has been employed as a Meteorologist for the commercial weather company Telvent DTN since 2004, shortly after graduating from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN with degrees in Meteorology and Environmental Studies. Brad is currently a Senior Energy Meteorologist and, more recently, part of the PGA Tour On-Site Meteorologist team, producing weather forecasts and helping with weather evacuations for various golf tournaments around the country, and even some international events.
As an avid storm chaser, Brad has been stalking the Plains for monster thunderstorms and tornadoes for several years and has seen roughly 55 tornadoes as well as everything from large hail, lightning, flooding, damaging winds, and incredible thunderstorm features. In this light, Brad considers himself a specialist in severe weather and storm chasing, but has also been forecasting for winter and tropical weather since his start in Meteorology.
In addition, Brad has had the opportunity to be a cast member in the reality television show, "Twister Sisters", which aired on WE TV in the winter of 2007-2008, and as a Weather Consultant for the production of "Tornado Road", which aired on The Weather Channel in late 2009 and early 2010. Brad also has prior experience as a driver and tour guide for a storm chasing company.
